So who want’s to fight hunger locally? If you know me, you know I love getting involved in my community. In college, I was always volunteering for causes that were important to me. I love making an impact in the lives of other people. So when the Senior Publicists to Women’s Health magazine contacted me to help spread the word about this weekend’s #RUN10Feed10 race, I couldn’t help but say Yes. Infact, I actually already knew about this race last year but I wasn’t able to run the race last year.

The idea is simple. You run 10km (6.2 miles) and in exchange, 10 meals are given to 10 people in your local community. Fighting hunger is something we can all combat. Together, we can make a huge impact in a very simple way. All you have to do is RUN. After you finish running, you will feel so happy that you were involved in feeding 10 hungry people in your community. PLUS, I heard that this race has plenty of sponsors so you will get alot of race day swag (free stuff) after the run.

According to Feeding America:

  • 1 in 6 American children do not know where their next meal will come from
  • There are hungry kids in every county in America, including YOURS
  • Hunger affects a child’s ability to learn

You can join Women’s Health and Feed Projects by running in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, or at Fun Runs nationwide. If you don’t live in one of the host cities – you can still participate! Sign up to run your own 10K or start a team and host your own RUN 10 FEED 10 run. The money from your registration and fundraising efforts will go to those metropolitan areas nearest to you. Please note, there is no requirement to fundraise money before running a race but they encourage participants to raise money.


If you are not running the Nike Women’s Half-Marathon in San Francisco this weekend, then why not run the Run10Feed10 race? There is even a Living Social deal that you can buy so that you do not spend a lot of money on the race registration. Men can also participate in #Run10Feed10. This isn’t a female only race.

$55 (or $39 with a Living Social deal)

  • Included in your registration is your race entry, your donation of 10 meals, and a limited-edition FEED bag.
  • Money from the race registration wil go to feeding the hungry.

Packet Pick‐Up
Pre‐race packet pick‐up for Chicago RUN 10 FEED 10 will take place at Fleet Feet Sports for all Chicago RUN 10 FEED 10 registrants. Your race bib, timing chip and limited edition FEED bag will be distributed at this time.
